We are heading to Rwanda in October with Rooted Oaks International. While there we will be committed living our lives as learners, lovers, and servants as we interact with members of the ministry and community.

We are traveling to Rwanda in October in partnership with Rooted Oaks International. While there we will come alongside the ministry as they invest in the lives of families living in poverty. Our main focuses, as a team, are to show up as learners, lovers, and servants.
We first recognize we are not the experts in the culture, way of life, etc. For this reason we come to learn from and respect those we interact with. Secondly, we are coming to love those we come in contact with. Many of us traveling have been advocates for one or more children within the ministry. This has meant investing in that child's educational needs and empowering them to be who God made them to be.
Our time in Rwanda will open up more doors for these team members to pour more love into those families and be loved by them. It will develop a deeper relationship between individuals and families. We will also all have opportunities to love, and be loved by, all the children and families within the ministry. Third, we are traveling as servants of the Lord. This means we are showing up to continue to grow in who God made us to be and press deepering into living the life of splendor he designed us for. In that we are also coming alongside those we interact with to empower them to live their lives of splendor.
Throughout our time in Rwanda we will be spending time at The Vineyard Nursery & Primary School, visiting families in their homes, connecting with graduates of Rooted Oaks' vocational training school, as well as attending the 2nd graduation of that school. We will also be building relationships with the Rooted Oaks staff and community.
